Goodbye Indiana 😢

Got transfer calls last night and I'm sad to say that this will be my last day in the Hebron ward. I'm leaving to be a zone leader in the Naperville 6th ward and my new companions name is Elder Dodson. I'm excited but I would be lying if I said I wasn't sad to leave this place! I mean it IS the promised land! Elder Jensen my dear companion is going to be a zone leader too here in Hebron. They changed Hebron to be the zone leader area so that's pretty cool. I'm going to miss my boy but he's going to kill it.

This last week was a great time! First of all we went on exchanges with the zone leaders and I stayed here with Elder Eltsosie who is a wizard and it was a way good time. We were on the bikes all day and we had a long ride home and night and he thinks he might've wanted to die a little bit haha but I'm getting used to the bike life and it's actually a lot of fun! I will however never be able to be as fast as Elder Jensen.

Ok my studies this week were gnarly. The book of Ether has always been my favorite book in the Book of Mormon but this week I read it and it continued to be my favorite. I feel bad but I definitely accidentally dove into some deep like prehistoric doctrine this week and accidentally spent a study trying to learn if there were dinosaurs before the flood. Oops. Study for the people your teaching folks not about dinosaurs in church doctrine. I'm sad to say that I didn't find anything haha.

BUT in the book of ether I was just straight up fascinated because it's SOOO old! Like the book starts where Genesis 11 starts! And the brother of Jared had scripture it says in Ether 1:3-4, so he probably had like the book of Adam, Noah, Enoch for all we know! That's crazy! All we know about these prehistoric prophets are from prophecies given to Moses who wrote the book of Genesis! So anyway, I'm not going to bore you all but this blew my mind. Also go look at Genesis 6:16 at the footnote for window and my theory is that since the brother of Jared had these records or scripture he got the shining stone idea from our boy Noah. Anyway, just something pretty cool as I was studying Ether this week!

So Chicago weather pranks you hard like we were just enjoying spring Yay spring is here! Chilling in the 50s and we went running in the mornings and then bam. All of the sudden it's in the 20s again! I swear the winter never ends! Like it was lovely and then an hour later it's snowing sideways! I just want to know if I'm supposed to pack my coat that's all! We went biking this morning for fun and it was extra cold so it was winter but I think that tomorrow it's going to turn back to spring! I guess we'll find out!

Well I guess the coolest thing that happened this week is when I was on exchanges I had a legendary bike accident and my bike was perfectly fine but don't try to check your map while riding at superior speeds! My backpack and helmet took all the damage so that was really lucky but it was nuts! So kids wear a helmet even if you do look like a lameo missionary from the district.

So I'm going to keep it short this week cause we got a lot of plans for today but goodbye Indiana it's been a good run!
